I reached the embassy at 6.25am, There were more than 100 people ahead of me. We were taken in given tokens then security check and then finger print scans. Then I was waiting for them to start calling out the numbers they started and rejected 9 visa straight at counter number 35, I was like SHIT!!!!! Then came my number N-266. Counter No. 26!!
VO - Why are you going to US?
Me - For my masters in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
VO - Where are you going?
Me - Oklahoma State University at Stillwater.
VO - Why Masters?
Me - To improve my skills and knowledge, which will eventually help me in my career in the future.
VO - Who is sponsoring you?
Me - My father!!
VO - What is his annual income?Me - xxxxxVO - Where does he work?
Me - Told his position and the name of the company.
VO - What does the company do?
Me - Told them the porfile of the company and the products
VO - Whats your GRE score?
Me - 1020.
VO - Do you think you will be able to succeed in master with such low GRE score.
Me - My academics are excellent though I have a low GRE score. I have also done many projects relavent to my field.
VO - I see you have a US visa?
Me - Yeah! I have a B1/B2.
VO - Have you traveled?
Me - No...
VO - Then why the visa?
Me - I had got the visa to take my grandparents to my Aunt's Place but they fell Ill just before we decided to travel so there was no reason for my visit, so I haven't traveled.
VO - OK
She was typing something for sometime and then gave me my I20 back, I felt it was rejected and then came the decision....
It is "approved"I controlled my smile and said thank you and left the place and smiled all the way till I was out.
