International Travel Tips

You might be all set attend the university with your visa. It's time to pack your bags and enter the United States. This post will help you with a quick checklist on what to carry or what not carry while you are travelling to the United States.

Travel Tips
Cabin Baggage:
1. All the Academic Original documents.
2. School I-20 and Medical Check up reports.
3. If you have a plan to Transfer, bring your Transcripts Packets, a couple of Financial  Statements and Affidavit of Supports.
4. A couple of Recommendation Letters.
5. Certifications and Presentations.
6. A pair of good clothes in case of emergency.
7. An International Calling card to call senior students when you land in US.
NOTE: Never place any Fluids in your cabin baggage though they are well packed.

Things to leave back home:

1. Two to Three sets of all your certificate Photocopies.
2. Photocopies of your Passport and Visa.
3. Photocopy of your i-20.
4. Ten Blank A4 sheets signed by you.
5. Photocopy of your Travel Itinerary.
6. Contact details of the person who is going to pick you up and the contact details of your seniors.
7. Signed bank Cheques.

Check-In Baggage:

1. Try to bring the Spices which you like and may not be available in US.
2. 7 to 10 Pairs of casual dresses(Prefer more number of Tops or Formal Shirts instead   of Trousers, Jeans).
3. Try to bring Traditional dresses and a suit to wear in suitable college cultural events.
4. If you have a poor eye visibility, try to bring 3 to 4 sets of Spectacles.(Spectacles are costly in USA).
5. If you are carrying pickles, make sure you make the American special packing.
6. Contact details of all your Relatives, Friends and Well wishers in a diary.
7. A simple Sneaker shoe.
8. A pair of casual flip-flops.
9. Try to bring a small present for the person who receives you at the airport.

Apart from this you can bring the items of your choice.
